City of Ypsilanti Planning Commission

Wednesday, April 18, 2018


The City of Ypsilanti Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, One South Huron Street, Ypsilanti, Michigan 48197.  The purpose of the hearing will be to receive public comments on the following:

 

Map Amendment (Rezoning): 720 Norris & 715-725 N River 


The Planning Commission will hear a presentation, hold a public hearing, and make a recommendation to City Council regarding the rezoning of 720 Norris, and the west 65’ of 715 N River, 717 N River, 719 N River, 721 N River, 723 N River and 725 N River.  720 Norris is currently zoned NC, Neighborhood Corridor and 715-725 N River are currently zoned CN-Mid, Core Neighborhood Mid. The applicant is requesting a rezoning to GC-General Corridor for all of 720 Norris and the west 65’ of 715-725 N River. The Master Planned future land use for 720 Norris is Central Neighborhood and for 715-725 N River is Outlying Neighborhood. The address and parcel numbers of the properties to be rezoned are:

Special Use Permit: 528, 530, 534 N Huron

The Planning Commission will hear a presentation, hold a public hearing, and make a determination regarding an application for a special use permit at 528, 530, 534 N Huron.  An accompanying site plan will be reviewed, which includes the proposed demolition of the existing structure at 530 N Huron. The parcels are currently zoned NC, Neighborhood Corridor. The applicant is requesting a special use permit for an expansion of a food store with the sale of alcohol, less than 15,000 square feet. The address, parcel number, and legal descriptions of the parcels are:

  • 534 N Huron: 11-11-40-105-022, YP CITY 5W-19 LOT 21 ASSESSOR'S PLAT NO. 3.
