Public hearings will be held by the Planning Commission at their regular meeting to consider the following items:


 Special Use Permit
445 S Huron: Food store with sale of alcohol, less than 15,000 square feet 

The Planning Commission will hear a presentation, hold a public hearing, and make a determination regarding an application for a special use permit at 445 S Huron to conduct beer and wine sales (SDM license). The parcel is currently zoned NC, Neighborhood Corridor. The address, parcel number, and legal description of the parcel are: 445 S Huron: 11-11-39-482-005, LOTS 13,14 & 15, EXC- THAT PART LYING S'LY OF FOLLOWING DESC LN, COM AT SE COR LOT 14 TH N 17-32-27.5 E 11.83 FT TO POB, TH S 75-13-37.5 W 137.88 FT, TH N 43-32-45 W 38.51 FT TO POE, BEING LOT 13 & PARTS OF LOTS 14 & 15 A.LAZELIER'S ADDITION TO BEG. A. LAZELOER'S ADDITION. This application was tabled from the September 19, 2018 Planning Commission meeting. 


Special Use Permit: 937 Monroe St: Group Child Care Home 

The Planning Commission will hear a presentation, hold a public hearing, and make a determination regarding an application for a special use permit at 937 Monroe St.  The parcel is currently zoned R-1 Single Family Residential. The applicant is requesting a special use permit for a group child care home. The address, parcel number, and legal description of the parcel are: 937 Monroe St: 11-11-37-130-025: LOT 401 PARK RIDGE.


Text Amendment: Accessory Building Height Increase

The Planning Commission will hear a presentation, hold a public hearing, and make a recommendation to City Council regarding a proposed change to zoning ordinance §122-466(N) through §122-469(N) and §122-651 (b)(2).  The proposed changes would increase the allowable height of accessory structures to 25’ or the height of the primary structure, whichever is less, in the mansion, estate, house and cottage building types in all form based districts.
