City of Ypsilanti, Michigan

The Ypsilanti District Library provides media resources to meet the cultural, educational, informational, and recreational needs of people of all ages in the community.  The service area of the Ypsilanti District Library includes the City of Ypsilanti, Ypsilanti Township and portions of  Superior Township. The Michigan Avenue branch in Historic Downtown Ypsilanti is housed in the original Ypsilanti Post Office building and underwent renovations in 2003. Construction of the Whittaker Road branch in Ypsilanti Township was completed in January 2002. The District Library also operates a bookmobile which provides mobile library services throughout the Ypsilanti community.
