Historic Freighthouse / Farmer's Market

Location:  Historic Depot Town 100 Market Plaza

Facilities:

The Freighthouse serves as a vital community gathering place which hosts a variety of community meetings, auctions, weddings, entertainment, and other special events. The Freighthouse Cafe offers year 'round live entertainment and a variety of breakfast and lunch items. Both of these facilities are available for rental.

In a 120-year old railroad freighthouse, the Ypsilanti Farmer's Market offers a cornucopia of produce, foods, crafts, and entertainment.  The Market is open between May and November, on Wednesdays from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.  Stalls are available for rental to produce and craft vendors.  For more information, contact Norris Stephens at 734-439-8676.

The City is working closely with the Friends of the Ypsilanti Freighthouse to make the necessary repairs and open the building as quickly as possible.
