Please be advised that beginning immediately, the City of Ypsilanti will begin issuing warning notices to residents that still have loose leaves piled on the street in front of their residence. This action has become necessary to avoid damage to our city sweeper and as a preventative measure to ensure that city storm drains remain free of debris.
To avoid receiving a warning and/or a potential citation, it will be necessary that residents bag their leaves and yard waste for curbside pick-up until the loose leaf program resumes in the fall. Bagged leaf and yard waste will be picked up weekly on trash day until December 19, 2008.
