There are a lot of benefits to not using an automobile, but leaving the car behind needs to be safe and easy. The City of Ypsilanti is currently developing a non-motorized transportation plan to ensure that residents and visitors have an accessible, walkable, and bikeable community.

There will be a public hearing of the plan held on March 17th, 2010, at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers. Agencies wishing to formally comment on the plan may submit their written comments to the Planning Commission before March 5th, 2010.
