Ypsilanti residents and visitors have the opportunity relax and play in Ypsi Community-Wide Parks and also in Ypsilanti's Smaller Parks and Tot Lots.  The parks allow you to reunite with friends and family in safe and fun environments while enjoying the beautiful outdoors of our Cool City.  Use our map tool to locate a park near you! 

Please note that Public Restroom facilities are not available at any of the City's parks.

The City of Ypsilanti and the YMCA have joined together for a one-year partnership to provide you activities and summer day camp sessions!  For schedules, activities, and registration information, go to the YMCA-Ann Arbor website.  You can also read the YMCA Day Camps Brochure.

Ypsilanti Parks:

Frog Island Park: Frog Island is a 5.0 acre park on the Huron River just north of Riverside Park, between Cross Street and Forest Avenue. Frog Island has a small amphitheater at the southern end, a soccer field and running track in the middle, and a community garden maintained by the adjacent neighborhoods at the north end.  Frog Island is connected to Riverside Park via the “tridge”, a three-pointed bridge at the south end of the park.  For special event applications and general information, please use the Reserve a Park webpage.

Recreation Park: Recreation Park is a 17.4 acre park located on North Congress Street on the west side of the City. The Senior Center and Rutherford Municipal Pool are located within it, as well as baseball fields, community gardens, basketball courts, and playground equipment. Riverside Park:  Riverside is a 13.8 acre park on the Huron River in the center of Ypsilanti, linking downtown and Depot Town. It is the home to various annual events, such as the Heritage Festival, ElvisFest, Michigan Summer Beer Festival, and several automotive events.  Between these events, it hosts activities such as bicycling, dog walking, picnicking, fishing, and sunbathing.  For special event applications and general information, please use the Reserve a Park webpage.

Ypsilanti also has a number of Smaller Parks and Tot Lots, primarily used by the surrounding neighborhoods and nearby schools.  These park facilities offer even MORE fun to everyone.
