Uniform Crime Report
The Ypsilanti Police Department voluntarily participates in reporting of major incidents of crimes committed within the City to the Federal Bureau of Investigation through the Michigan State Police. This report is known as the Uniform Crime Report (UCR). This statistical information provides for comparisons of all participating agencies with respect to their reported crimes and the incidents resolved.
