“Based on Governor Whitmer’s recent executive order, the City of Ypsilanti is reopening all city parks effective Monday June 8, 2020, subject to social distancing guidelines. This includes the following:
Please make sure when using any amenities in City parks to follow social distancing guidelines by remaining at least six (6) feet from others who do not live with you in your household, follow recommended prevention guidelines (Washtenaw County Health Department Information can be found at this link: https://www.washtenaw.org/3102/Prevention), and if you are sick, please stay home. We also ask that residents please understand that the use of these amenities is at your own risk and activities where you are unable to follow social distancing guidelines are not allowed.
The success of reopening our City parks relies on the willingness of visitors to follow social distancing and prevention guidelines to prevent additional spread of COVID-19. The City of Ypsilanti encourages residents to remain active outdoors as you are able, but asks that they do so in a safe manner. We want to thank everyone for their patience during this time and encourage everyone to enjoy our parks responsibly.”
