To carry out this goal, the City might consider a number of policy recommendations, including but not limited to the following: creating a green rental certification program to encourage energy-efficient improvements; continuing to pursue policies and projects that improve nonmotorized transportation; continuing to participate in local, regional, national, and international efforts for climate mitigation and adaptation; and promoting incentives, grants, and programs that encourage energy efficiency and renewable energy to property owners.
