Public Notice: Flooding Related Trash Collection Update

The City of Ypsilanti will be waiving our three bag/can trash limit over the next two (2) weeks to assist residents with cleaning up after the basement flooding which occurred over the past weekend.  Please have your items on the curb by 6:00 a.m. on your normal day of collection.

Residents who have lost and need to throw away refrigerators, freezers, or other items with freon in it will need to purchase a freon sticker for $35 each for special pickup by Stevens Disposal on Thursday July 8th. These stickers may be purchased by scheduling an appointment with the Department of Public Services, 14 W. Forest,  by calling 734-483-1421; the Department of Public Services can only process cash or check.  These stickers may also be purchased at City Hall, 1 S Huron, during normal business hours; the Clerk's Office can accept cash, check, or charge.    Please place these items out at the curb by 6:00 a.m. on Thursday July 8th.  Doors must be removed from refrigerators and freezers placed curbside.
