CITY OF YPSILANTI RECRUITING POLL WORKERS FOR THE AUGUST PRIMARY ELECTION
Get Involved During the Exciting and Important 2022 Primary Election!
The City of Ypsilanti is currently recruiting registered voters and youth age 16 to 18 to serve their community as Election Inspectors during the upcoming August 2nd Primary and November 1st General elections this year.
Election Inspectors are vital to the voting process and ensure the right to vote: they make voting possible!
Inspectors staff polling locations on Election Day and are responsible for many important tasks, including the following:
- Welcoming voters and facilitating voting activities
- Verifying voter registration
- Issuing ballots
- Managing the Poll Book
- Ensuring voter privacy
- Problem solving and answering voters’ questions
- Managing ballot tabulators
- Maintaining and ensuring the accuracy of critical data
Election Inspectors serving the City of Ypsilanti are paid $13.00 per hour for their work on Election Day and for their training.
