The City of Ypsilanti will be DELAYING the special curbside brush and branch pickup initially scheduled for the week of 3/6 to the week of March 20th, 2023, for woody debris from private trees due to the 2/22 ice storm and the 3/3 snow storm.

Branches must be no more than 4 inches in diameter and 4 feet long.  For branches and logs more than 4 inches in diameter, please cut into segments weighing no more than 50 pounds. Please place along the curb or with the cut side facing the curb. For brush, please use natural-fiber rope or twine (no plastic or metal wire) to tie into bundles no more than 4 feet long and 50 pounds.  For smaller branches and twigs, please use paper yard waste bags.  This helps to ensure an efficient and safe pickup schedule, and please note that these guidelines are different from the typical yard waste pickup guidelines.

This special storm damage pickup will occur on your regular trash/recycling pickup day. Please have your items at the curb no later than 6am on the pickup day.

We thank you for your patience as our crews continue to work to clear debris from the roads, sidewalks, parks, and other public rights of way and from public trees throughout the City.  Seasonal yard waste pickup is planned to begin the week of April 10th.

Please continue to report any downed lines and power outages to DTE at 1-800-477-4747 and stay at least 25 feet away from any downed utility lines.
