Spring has arrived, and we can all enjoy the blooming trees and outdoor activities again.

The City of Ypsilanti has declared April Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Safehouse Center has requested that teal ribbons be placed around the city trees and place cards with information about Sexual Assault Awareness Month and how to contact Safehouse. You can find them at East Cross between River and Rice, Michigan Ave between Huron and Hamilton, and W. Cross between Summit and College Place. More information on Safehouse is here.

Plenty of events are happening within our community; please refer to our city calendar for updates on getting involved. If you’re looking to host a free community event, the Ypsilanti Freigthouse has a community events policy to make the space free of charge. Those interested click here
