As a result of the passage of Proposal 18-3 all voters are eligible for absentee voting.
How to Request An Absentee Ballot
You may visit the Clerk’s office Monday - Friday between 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. to request an absentee ballot, or you may submit a request by mail.
Absentee ballot request forms must be submitted to the Ypsilanti City Clerk's office.
The Clerk’s office is open on the Saturday preceding each election from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. to process absentee ballot requests. Ypsilanti City voters can stop in during these hours to request or drop off an absentee ballot.
You may also request an absentee ballot by visiting your Clerk’s office before 4 p.m. on the day before the election.
Deadline
After receiving your absentee voter ballot, you have until 8 p.m. on Election Day to complete the ballot and return it to the clerk's office. Your ballot will not be counted unless your signature is on the return envelope and matches your signature on file.
