Public hearings will be held by the Planning Commission at their regular meeting to consider the following items:

 

Special Use Permit: 11 N Normal St: more than 4 dwelling units

The Planning Commission will hear a presentation, hold a public hearing, and make a determination regarding an application for a special use permit at 11 N Normal St.  The parcel is currently zoned CN, Core Neighborhood. The applicant is requesting a special use permit for a multiple family dwelling with 5 units. The address, parcel number, and legal description of the parcel are: 11 N Normal: 11-11-40-431-011, N 50 FT OF S 215 FT OF E 155.5 FT OF A PARCEL OF LAND LYING AT NW COR NORMAL AND CONGRESS STS.


Text Amendment: Private Frontage Design

The Planning Commission will hear a presentation, hold a public hearing, and make a recommendation to City Council regarding a proposed change to zoning ordinance sections 122-465 through 484.  The proposed changes would affect when certain frontage design standards are applied to buildings in the Center, Corridor, and Core Neighborhood zoning districts, as well as what those standards are and when they may be waived by the Planning Commission.


Work Session: Zoning for Commercial Sales and Commercial Recreational Use of Firearms

The Planning Commission will hear a staff presentation on potential amendments to the zoning code regarding firearms sales and related recreational uses, and invites public comment and participation.  No action or recommendation will be made to City Council at this meeting.
