Development Process for Water Street:
- City accepts Letter of Intent from Developer
- Due Diligence period
- Purchase Agreement is created (Purchase Agreement is a contract creating a negotiation period to create a development agreement)
- Public Hearing for Purchase Agreement
- Development Agreement created ( A development agreement is a voluntary contract between a local jurisdiction and a person who owns or controls property within the jurisdiction, detailing the obligations of both parties and specifying the standards and conditions that will govern development of the property.
- Public Hearing for Development Agreement
- Planned Unit Development or Site Plan Process includes public meetings of Planning Commission, Zone Board of Appeals (if necessary), and Historic District Commission
- Approval of Development by City Council at Public meeting
