The City of Ypsilanti Planning Commission seeks expressions of interest from residents interested in serving on its newly formed Citizen Subcommittee. The Subcommittee will lead a participatory five-year review of the City’s 2013 Master Plan (“Shape Ypsi”) and will recommend appropriate updates and modifications to the Master Plan with a focus on preserving and strengthening housing affordability and accessibility.

Per the committee charter, two seats on the Citizen Subcommittee are reserved for representatives of the community at large. This call for expressions of interest seeks to recruit interested candidates to fill these at-large seats.

Eligible candidates will:

Reside in the City of Ypsilanti

Be 18 years of age or older

Have an active interest in housing affordability and/or physical accessibility

Be available to participate in committee meetings (to be held not more frequently than bi-weekly and not less frequently than monthly) and related activities from February to October 2018

Interested individuals should send their name and address, as well as a brief statement of interest, to bwessler@cityofypsilanti.com, with “Master Plan Committee” as the subject line, no later than Wednesday, January 17th.
