City of Ypsilanti Planning Commission

The City of Ypsilanti Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, One South Huron Street, Ypsilanti, Michigan 48197. The purpose of the hearing will be to receive public comments on the following:
Zoning Text Amendment: GC- General Corridor
The Planning Commission will hear a presentation, hold a public hearing, and make a recommendation to City Council regarding the proposed adoption of an amendment to the zoning text of the zoning code. This amendment will add the special use of a Medical Marijuana Dispensary and/or similar, as defined under the State of Michigan’s Medical Marihuana Facility Licensing Act, to Sec. 122-451 Permissible Uses for General Corridor.
Zoning Text Amendment: Medical Marijuana Dispensaries and Medical Marijuana Growing/Manufacturing Facility
The Planning Commission will hear a presentation, hold a public hearing, and make a recommendation to City Council regarding the proposed adoption of an amendment to the zoning text of the zoning code. This amendment will modify Sec. 122-203 Definitions, Sec. 122-446 Permissible Uses for Center, Sec. 122-527 Home occupations, Sec. 122-532 Medical Marijuana Dispensaries and Sec. 122-533 Medical Marijuana Growing/Manufacturing Facility in order to align better with the State of Michigan’s Medical Marihuana Facility Licensing Act.
