The City of Ypsilanti City Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, December 18th, at the 7:00 p.m. meeting in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, One South Huron Street, Ypsilanti, Michigan 48197. The purpose of the hearing will be to receive public comments on the following:
Text Amendment: Private Frontage Design
City Council will consider a proposed ordinance to amend the text of the zoning ordinance, sections 122-465 through 484. The proposed changes would affect when certain frontage design standards are applied to commercial building types in the Center, Corridor, and Core Neighborhood zoning districts, as well as what those standards are and when they may be waived by the Planning Commission.
Text Amendment: Accessory Building Height Increase
City Council will consider a proposed ordinance to amend the text of the zoning ordinance, specifically sections §122-466(N), §122-467(N), §122-468(N), §122-469(N), and §122-651 (b)(2). The proposed changes would increase the allowable height of accessory structures to 25’ or the height of the primary structure, whichever is less, in the mansion, estate, house and cottage building types in all form based districts.
