Some commercial properties, including churches, may be eligible for curbside recycling services. Although we certainly encourage all parties to reduce, reuse, and recycle, commercial curbside recycling at scale is beyond the City's current capacity; we will not be able to safely and efficiently serve all interested parties. Submission of this form is an indication of interest and is not a guarantee of service.
All businesses within the City of Ypsilanti are required to obtain and maintain a valid Business Occupancy Permit. More information about this program is available on the City’s website at https://cityofypsilanti.com/702/Business-Inspection. Recycling carts may not be issued to businesses that are not enrolled in this program; i.e., that are neither currently certified nor scheduled for inspection/reinspection. For more information about the business inspection program, please contact the Building Department at 734-482-1025.
We offer drop-off recycling for residents in partnership with Recycle Ann Arbor; please visit https://cityofypsilanti.com/302/Recycling-Drop-Off-Service for more information.
The full list of acceptable materials as well as the recycling collection schedule is available from https://cityofypsilanti.com/301/Recycling-Program.
Each cart is 96 gallons, more than three times the current red bins. We can provide up to three bins; the first bin is free and each additional or replacement bin will be at cost.
Please upload confirmation that the business owner or their agent has agreed to participate in the curbside recycling program. This may be in the form of a letter on letterhead, an email from the associated business email/domain, or a business card. We may call to confirm.
